International Women's Day 8th March

You are invited to Royal Greenwich’s International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations at The Woolwich Library on Thursday 8 March 2018 at 6.00pm.

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. It commemorates the movement for women's rights. This year’s theme for IWD is #PressforProgress.

Highlights

We have an exciting IWD programme for you to enjoy this includes:

A performance by folk legend Julie Felix - singer, songwriter recognized not only for her music and her work with the likes of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen to name a few, but for her commitment to equality and charitable causes, raising money for hunger relief and visiting several of the more troubled countries in the world.

This event will launch the: Greenwich 100: Exhibition – Beyond the Suffragette and include a drama performance from the students of The University of Greenwich and a talk by: Dr Claire Eustance, Senior Lecturer, Greenwich University.
