Matthew Pennycook was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Greenwich and Woolwich constituency on May 7th 2015. He had been selected as Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate in November 2013 and he was a Councillor for Greenwich West ward, where he lives with his partner Joanna. He is also a trustee of Greenwich Housing Rights, and has spent the last ten years working in a number of roles in a range of charitable and voluntary sector organisations, shaping the national debate on the issues that matter to the people that live in our constituency: a living wage, affordable childcare, workplace rights and better housing.
