HARPINDER SINGH
Harpinder may be familiar to you from the ten years he worked as a trader in Woolwich market. He is now an electronics engineer with a leading electronics company.
Harry was first elected as a Labour councillor in 2000 and is now deputy mayor. He holds regular surgeries and has an open and accessible style, often visiting local community groups.
He helped to introduce Cleansweep, Sure Start, the Changes in Common Shop on Herbert Road, the Liveability programme, and has campaigned for Brookhill Children’s Centre and getting the Docklands
Light Railway to come to Woolwich.
Harry is a board member of Greenwich Victim Support, Greenwich Mind, Changes in Common and Greenwich Charities for the Blind and Disabled. He is a governor at Nightingale primary school.
A keen football fan, Harry enjoys reading, music and walking. His children attend local schools.
