Tory councillors in Blackheath Westcombe ward have been
reprimanded by Greenwich Council’s standards watchdog after using
council notepaper to write letters attacking Labour councillors to
hundreds of residents in the Westcombe Park area last
December.
This was in breach
of the councillors’ code of conduct which says that council
resources must only be used for council business, not party
political campaigning.
The Tories have been warned that
a repeat could see them referred to the national Standards
Board.
