DICK QUIBELL

Dick has lived in Greenwich for most of his adult life, and in Peninsula ward since 1991. Dick believes that the council needs to work hard to preserve the precious features of our community. People from all backgrounds - not just the very affluent - should be able to settle here and feel comfortable.

This is a real challenge for the Council in the coming years, as pressure on development, property prices and the environmental effects of a growing population affect us all very deeply.

Both Dick’s children attend Greenwich comprehensive schools. Education is one of his passions and Dick has been a school governor for ten years. Dick understands what we have to do to sustain improvements in our schools and education occupies a lot of his time. Dick hopes that he will give parents an effective voice on the Council.
