    Greenwich Labour making the case for Europe

Greenwich West Councillors and party members have been out campaigning in the European Elections.

 

Councillors David Grant, Maureen O'Mara and Margaret Mythen joined activists to hand out special pledge cards listing five Labour achievements in Europe and five priorities.

 

Five Achievements

1. Four weeks paid holiday a year
2. Slashed mobile phone roaming charges across Europe
3. Acted to tackle Climate Change: cleaner cars, renewable energy and green jobs
4. A European health card giving you free emergency health care across the EU
5. European Arrest Warrant to stop criminals escaping across borders

 

Five Things to To Do

1. More high quality jobs across the UK and overcoming the financial crisis
2. New rules to ensure stability and fairness in our banks
3. Building a fairer, stronger and greener economy
4. New rules to protect all against discrimination
5. Stronger rights for consumers; safer products, rules against scam traders, and lower prices at home and abroad
